Domova privacy policy
Last updated: 24 October 2026.
Domova helps you and the people you live with cook, shop and share costs. This page says what we keep, why, and how to get rid of it.
What we keep
- Your account: your first name, your email address, the colour housemates see you as, and an account id.
- What you put in: recipes, shopping lists, meal plans, fridge items, your house's name, and shared expenses and payments.
- How housemates pay you back: your PayID, BSB and account number, if you add them. Only people in your house can see them. Domova never moves money.
- Settings: what you want help with, which notifications you want, and which moment you first said yes to notifications.
- Your phone's notification address, so we can send the house notifications you've turned on.
We don't collect your location, contacts or browsing, and there are no ads, ad trackers or analytics tools in Domova.
Who can see it
Things you share with your house are seen by the people in your house. Things you keep to yourself are seen only by you. We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
Who helps us run Domova
- Supabase stores Domova's data in Sydney, Australia.
- Anthropic (Claude) reads recipes for you. Only when you've said yes, and only what you choose to import: the link, the photo or the text. Nothing else from your account is sent. Photos are cleaned of location data before they leave your phone.
- Apple delivers notifications and, if you use it, Sign in with Apple.
- Resend sends the sign-in email.
They use your data only to do these jobs for us.
Deleting your account
Go to You → Delete account. Your name, payment details, private recipes and lists are deleted. Things you shared with your house stay with your housemates, and past expenses stay without your name, so nobody's balances break. If you're the last person in a house, the house is deleted too. You'll need to be all square with housemates first.
